Following the death of Michael Jackson, his estate is suing his former manager claiming he stole money out of Jackson’s pocket by forcing him to sign contracts he wasn’t interested in, during the final year of Michael Jackson’s life.
The big question is whether Michael signed those contracts while of sound mind, or whether his estate will be able to overturn contracts for jobs already performed, and get some money back from Michael’s manager.
On the other hand, the manager, Tohme R. Tohme, claims he is still owed money by Michael’s estate, coming to 15 percent out of the record 310 million dollars received by his estate since the singer’s death.

It seems the lawsuit is coming after the manager and estate fought over who gets what, and can’t decide the matter themselves. The lawsuit seeks several things, including not being forced to pay the manager, getting restitution from him for whatever shady deals the estate claim he did, and being privy to his financial records, to make sure no further wrongdoing is overlooked.
Part of the money squabbled about is fee from shows Michael was due to perform, but got cancelled because of the singer’s untimely death.

Another thing the estate is claiming, and suing for, is that the manager has failed to return some of Michael’s belongings, which they think the manager is keeping to make a quick buck on. The estate is now waiting for the manager’s response, which will most likely be filing a counter lawsuit, as means of protecting himself from being slapped with a huge fine. Like most squabbles over money, this lawsuit will probably be settled out of court with each side not getting his way completely, but until then, it’s going to be an ugly battle that will tarnish Jackson’s memory.

The recently newlywed has announced that doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs, forcing him to step down from his famous radio show, Cannon’s Countdown. According to doctors, if the actor won’t relax more and slow things down, he’s in risk of dying from the disease.
It isn’t clear whether the show, baring Nick’s name, would continue with someone else for now, or will he be replaced for now. Fans are already calling for the show to continue, but wishing the actor would recuperate. Earlier this month Cannon also suffered from a mild case of kidney failure, causing quite a scare, and forcing Mariah Carey to publicly ask for prayers.

The 31 year old who recently disappeared from the limelight, hosts NBC’s America’s Got Talent, and has a few projects on the slow burner, and although recovered, it isn’t clear whether the actor/comedian would be able to fulfill those roles.
The matter is even more serious considering the couple recently birthed twins, a boy and a girl, and Cannon has more pressing matters nowadays.

Guns N’ Roses has announced that it will live stream its concert in the famous House of Blues on the internet for charity, so even if you don’t have a ticket, you’ll be able to enjoy it. Access to the live stream costs five dollars, and is reached via the band’s official website. The organization reportedly getting the band’s donation is Feeding America, an organization determined on ending world hunger. It isn’t clear how long the show will last, but the band’s recent tour has featured lengthy sets, so fans will probably get their money’s worth, with most performances lasting two hours or more.
Besides their streamed performance, the band is gearing up to perform in various venues in the US and UK, with the hopes of touring worldwide.

Rumors about the singer’s poor well being have circulated across the internet in these past few years, leading some to even speculate she was dead, due to her troublesome past and her decision to avoid the limelight and regroup. Sadly enough, lately those ever constant rumors have become a reality, when the star was found dead in her hotel room, leading some to speculate drug abuse was the fault, and others to put the blame on a suspicious drowning, although officers quickly released a statement saying no foul play is visible or suspected, and that the singer probably died of natural causes.

During her long and tumultuous career, Whitney has won six Grammys, two Emmys, and many other American music awards, making her one of the world’s leading singers, and one of the most famous. Sadly, as her troubles caught up to her, she became more famous for her antics and drug abuse, and her abusive relationship with then husband Bobby Brown, leading to the singer having a child.
Nowadays it isn’t clear who will get guardianship of the child, who is old enough to not need parental support, making the case very different from other custody battles.

In Whitney’s honor, various artists have dedicated songs to her and spoke about how she influenced them, in this years Grammy awards. The death of Whitney is yet another music industry death, but despite her problematic past, it is more tragic than usual due to her attempt at bettering herself, beginning with her leaving Bobby Brown in 2007.

After her refreshing Sueprbowl performance, Madonna seems to have seen a rise in sales of her entire catalogue. The singer has sold some of her more recent material, as well as older hits, and is said to have made some more dates in her new tour due to that. The performance has been seen by 114 million people, a personal record for the singer, and although after it she isn’t planning any big performances, her tour will start at the 29th of May, and will tour the world, starting with Tel Aviv in Israel, Australia and various other places she hasn’t been to in a while, or at all.
This tour is said to be her biggest yet, and her most exclusive, allowing fans that weren’t able to see her live before, join the masses that already have.

It isn’t clear whether her new tour will include mainly hits from her new album, or will it include a collection of hits from the past and present, but it is clear that tickets are selling fast, and if fans don’t get them quick, they might be left out. Sure, tours like this one usually go on longer than expected, and tour dates and tour venues are added along the way, but usually in places the artist has toured in the past.
Fans wanting to get a glimpse might have only one chance to find a ticket to a venue near them, partly because some fans have vowed to tour around the world together with the artist, and see all or most of her performances across the globe, buying tickets locals desperately want.

Madonna’s last tour, the Sticky & Sweet tour, has grossed 408 million US dollars worldwide, and the next one is expected to gross even higher, which is a big jump from the 194 million US dollars her Confessions tour grossed across the world.

Madonna has just now released her long awaited single, Give Me All Your Luvin’, from her long awaited new album MDNA, together with a mix of the various other tracks on the album. The singer has released it while on the radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and has later released the official music video of the single, on her official YouTube channel.
The single, Give Me All your Luvin’, features the artists MIA and Nicky Minaj, and according to sources, the album will fit Madonna’s new persona, and include songs more suitable for the dancefloor and the clubs, like her famous Hung Up video, featuring a remix of an ABBA track.

Some say the hasty release of the new single & music video was done due to the leaking of the song’s demo back in November, although fans have speculated Madonna herself has leaked the demo to get fans riled up for the return of the dance diva. According to her Twitter account, Madonna blames the leak on hackers, and says she is certain her true fans wouldn’t break the law or try to hurt the singer financially.
But despite the leak, Madonna is planning a big release for the album, starting with airing the music video for Give Me All your Luvin’ on Clear Channel stations throughout the week, airing almost every hour. After that, Madonna will reportedly perform the song in the Superbowl half-time show, which will take place life in Indianapolis during Sunday.

Together with Madonna LMFAO, MIA and Nicky Minaj will also take the stage this upcoming Sunday, and will all perform the song. The three are all featured on her new album, in Madonna’s attempt at becoming more club friendly.
MDNA will be Madonna’s 12th studio album, and her first since her move to Interscope.

Bon Iver, a famous indy artist, has stated that he won’t perform at the Grammys, despite being up for four Grammys, and his band’s frontman, Justin Vernon, performing in a new commercial. Bon Iver was asked to perform, but together with another artist, something Iver wasn’t fond of. According to the frontman, Vernon, the band wanted the opportunity to perform their own material, so people would understand why the band is up for four Grammys. According to him, Grammy officials didn’t accept their plea of being able to choose their songs themselves, and were told they had to perform a song both them and their collaborator could perform – a song most audiences will be familiar with, and that will fit two singers.

It isn’t clear whether the band would be suited for a family audience, since they recently started supporting the Bushmills distillery, which produces whiskey, and are happy about the opportunity to perform their own songs and support causes they’re a fan of.
It seems despite the Grammys, or maybe because of them, the group is starting to seek more freedom in their choices, and don’t want to start being mainstream, and do whatever the the record company tells them to do.

According to Vernon, the Grammy committee wasn’t even interested in them playing, and just asked because of their nominations, so they won’t get flack for not asking. So saying no is not a big deal.
It isn’t clear who the Grammy committee wanted the band to collaborate with, but according to Vernon they are people the band are very fond of, and would love to collaborate with, but only on their own terms, without any outside pressure.
It isn’t clear yet who will take their place, and what will happen with the people the band was asked to collaborate with, but regardless, the Grammy committee have stated they expect a great show.
