Beatle’s tribute band to tour again
The first tribute band for the Beatles – the Bootleg Beatles, has started their 30th anniversary tour, which will take part in March. The band includes Neil Harrison, Andre Barreau, David Catlin-Birch, and it started during the 1980s, after the three met during 1979 and decided to start a tribute band to their favourite and most influential band – the Beatles. The three found out they know a lot of the band’s music, which drove them to perform as a tribute band, among others.
The three play on stage wearing polo necks and wigs, and soon got publicity and praise for their show, which lasted for several centuries, due to their perfect renditions of the Beatles’ repertoire. The band added a video backdrop to their shows, in order to evolve with the times and become a bigger attraction – a bigger draw and a fun show, which is what the band is aiming for. The band’s shows are known for evolving chronologically throughout the show, as to represent the Beatles’ rise and change in style over the years – a style that kept being innovative and attractive, even after dozens of years.
The tour will take place during the month of March, and if it will be successful it might continue even farther. The band will play in many venues throughout the United Kingdom, sometimes even playing 6 nights in a row.
The Beatles started performing in Liverpool as a rock band, and were influenced by acts like Elvis and other rock acts from the United States, and honed in their act during their years in Germany.
The Beatles included John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, but during their early years they included Stuart Sutcliffe on bass, and Pete Best on drums, but changed them during their early years – especially during Germany.
